Frequently asked questions
Good to know before you register.
The most important answers about registering with Spitex – and what happens next.
How do I register with Spitex?
The easiest way is the form on this page, or by phone on 044 500 49 27. We will get back to you, assess your needs in your home and advise you. We take over your care within 24 hours.
Can I request Spitex for my parents?
Yes. You can send the request on behalf of a relative – please give your own contact details. We will discuss everything else together with everyone involved.
What information does Spitex need?
A few details are enough for the first contact: who the support is for, what help is needed, in which canton and from when – and how we can reach you. We will clarify everything else in a personal conversation.
Treatment care (for example injections, dressings, medication) requires a doctor’s prescription. Since 1 July 2024, needs assessment, advice and basic care are also possible without a doctor’s prescription.
What happens after I send my request?
We will get back to you – at the time you gave us, if possible. We then assess your needs in your home and discuss your nursing care and support. We take your daily habits into account from the very first consultation.
How much does Spitex cost?
Our private Spitex costs the same as a public Spitex. All services covered by health insurance are billed in accordance with the tariff agreement. We always discuss services that no insurance covers with you in advance.
